Old Friends

Well today was rather exciting. I randomly met an old college friend, Michael Schwartz. Amazing. He's probably one of the sweetest guys I know. Odd, we knew each other in Spokane, and I meet up with him in California! It's crazy how that works. Anyway, it was great talking to and catching up with him.

Earlier today I went with my mother to San Francisco and saw "The Universe Within." It's a museum of the human body. Medical students have displays of arteries and veins, and the musculature of the human body. It was quite fascinating to see all that, being that I'm a nursing student. I think all students who take anatomy and physiology should visit the museum. They should visit once when they start the class (to later understand what they read and learn about), and then they should visit after they've studied, so it sinks in. I wished I had had something that concrete to look at when I was learning. Pretty amazing. Although, I would have added some things. I would have added more labels to the pictures, and had much more detail. But, I understand the museum is meant for lay people, so I guess it was good for that. It seemed, well, simplified.

And that's about it for now. It's a little after 3am, and I should go to bed.
